If you've ever picked the right training tool and then waited a full quarter for it to clear procurement, this post is for you.

SparkLearn is now available in AWS Marketplace. You can start a 30-day free trial, subscribe, and pay for SparkLearn through the AWS account your company already has. You get the same platform, the same onboarding, and the same support team. The only thing that changes is how the invoice gets paid.

Here's what that means in practice, and when it's worth using.

Why buy training software through AWS?

Most of the Learning & Development leaders we talk with don't struggle to choose a platform. They struggle to get a new vendor approved. Security reviews, supplier forms, purchase orders, a new payment method, and a new contract for legal to redline. Each step makes sense on its own. Stacked together, they can push a rollout well past the moment the team needed it.

Buying through AWS Marketplace takes a lot of that off the table:

  • One invoice. SparkLearn charges show up on your existing AWS bill. No new PO or payment method.

  • An approved supplier. AWS is likely already in your vendor system, which can shorten vendor review.

  • Terms you've already agreed to. Your existing AWS agreement, billing, and tax setup carry over.

  • Visibility for finance. Spend appears in AWS Cost Explorer and Billing alongside everything else you run on AWS.

  • Admin control in one place. Manage, renew, or cancel the subscription in the AWS console.

Start with the free trial

Every SparkLearn plan includes a 30-day free trial, and you can start it right from our AWS listing. Open the listing from the AWS account you want billed, start the trial, and we'll get your workspace set up. If you keep going after 30 days, billing starts on your AWS account. If you don't, cancel in the console and you're done.

Pricing on AWS matches what you'd pay buying direct. Essential starts at $75/month for up to 25 learners. Premium starts at $250/month for up to 25 learners and adds offline access, badges and certificates, podcasts, and direct LRS access for xAPI. Band-by-band pricing is on the listing and on our pricing page.

The trial takes a few minutes to start and gives your team a full month on real content.

Put training spend toward your AWS commitment

If your company has an AWS Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) or Private Pricing Agreement, you've committed to a certain level of AWS spend. Eligible Marketplace purchases can count toward that commitment. For many organizations, that moves a training platform out of the "new budget we have to find" column and into spend that's already planned.

How much counts depends on the terms of your agreement, so check with your AWS account team before you plan around it. It's a quick question, and the answer is worth having before budget season.

When a Private Offer makes sense

Self-serve subscriptions are the easy way to get started. Larger rollouts usually need something more tailored. A Private Offer is a custom deal we build for you inside AWS Marketplace, and it's still billed through your AWS account. It's usually the right move if you:

  • have more than 500 learners

  • want annual or multi-year terms

  • need a payment schedule that lines up with your fiscal year

Standardized AWS contract terms can also shorten procurement from weeks to days. If that sounds like your situation, request a Private Offer and we'll put one together.

Same product, same team

Buying through AWS changes how you pay, not what you get. You still get your own tenant and admin console, the same onboarding and support channels, the same release cadence, and the same integrations, including direct LRS and xAPI access. Your data is handled the same way whether you buy direct or through Marketplace. Our security page has the details.

That matters because the reason to choose SparkLearn hasn't changed. We build for frontline and deskless teams in restaurants, hospitality, utilities, and field service. These are people who need the right answer on their phone in a few seconds, not a course they'll get around to next week. King's Seafood Company uses SparkLearn to train across 23 restaurants, and Leadership Development Manager Alyssa Hernandez summed it up: it's "way easier than what we were doing before." Quick answers

  • Does this count toward our AWS commitment?
Eligible purchases can count toward an EDP or Private Pricing Agreement. Your AWS account team can confirm what applies to your agreement.

  • How does the free trial work?
Start the 30-day trial from the AWS listing. Billing begins on your AWS account only if you continue, and you can cancel anytime in the AWS console.

  • Is pricing different on AWS?
No. Public prices match what you'd pay buying direct. Private Offers can include negotiated pricing and terms.

  • Do we get the same product and support?
Yes. Same tenant, console, onboarding, and support team.

Getting started

The fastest path is the trial. Open the listing from the AWS account you want billed, start your 30 days, and see how your frontline team takes to it. Planning a bigger rollout? Talk to us about a Private Offer first so the terms fit from day one.
